Impact: All phone services will be degraded. Calls in progress, Cisco menus, Cisco phones, Cisco voicemail, etc. will all have brief disruptions throughout the change window. Zoom Phone and SL100 Analog lines may have some degradation as well. All disruptions are expected and designed to be brief but there is a small chance of some sustained service disruptions during the change window.

Purpose: Facilities will perform an operational test of the Campus Data Center's Generator and automatic fail-over equipment as part of this maintenance. During this test, the Campus Data Center will briefly switch to the electrical power supplied by the building generator. This semi-annual test is part of our established maintenance procedure.
Impact: High Performance Computing servers and other co-location equipment that are not on UPS and hosted within the Campus Data Center will lose power during the test. Otherwise, the Campus Data Center UPS systems will carry the load during the transitions; therefore, no impact to other services is expected.
Affected Services: High Performance Computing servers and other co-location equipment hosted within the Campus Data Center, and not on UPS, will be affected. In the event of a UPS failure, other services that are hosted in the Campus Data Center may be disrupted.
