Purpose:
Increase network capacity between the UCDNet4 Core and Davis Border networks.

Impact:
Traffic will be routed via alternate paths when the configuration changes are implemented. Clients may experience a brief period (approximately 30 seconds) of intermittent network connectivity when switching between normal and alternate paths. Existing sessions may reset when network traffic is diverted to the alternate routing path, and when network traffic is returned to the normal path.

CENIC NOC-744683 Sunnyvale Maintenance
CENIC engineers will work with remote hands to perform non-impacting power-related work on a backbone device in Sunnyvale. Precautions are being taken to ensure no impact to the listed services.

Impact: 
Potential loss of AWS Direct Connect path redundancy and CalREN High Performance Research path redundancy during the scheduled maintenance window.

Resolved - As of 12:21 PM today all switches and APs negatively affected by the flooding in Tupper have been restored.  The network outage has been resolved.

Identified - Tupper Hall experienced a burst pipe and flooding this afternoon. The fire department has been involved, and crews are actively working on fixing the pipe and water abatement. Several network switches are affected on the 3rd, 2nd, & 1st floor. Currently there is a network outage affecting the following.

Monitoring - Status update: VoIP services including Jabber and Call Center Extension Mobility clients have been restored. We are currently monitoring the environment.

IT Express Phone Service was restored at 8:36AM.

Update - Jabber was impacted this morning at 6:40 AM when part of the cluster went unreachable , the service restored at 8:20.

Admins have reports of extension mobility users not being able connect; which is affecting a couple call centers ability to log into their phones.

Admins are still working on this issue now as well as restoring connectivity to backup servers, but primary servers and services are online.
