Purpose:
Extend ucdPersonAffiliation
Impact:
The value of ucdPersonAffiliation (*) in the Enterprise LDAP Directory will change from "staff" to "staff:postdoc" for all postdoctoral scholars (**). This modification is to the IAM provisioning adapter; LDAP data may not change immediately.
Background:
The UC Davis Library runs an instance of DASH, a UCOP tool for sharing research data. This tool meets the requirement imposed by several research journals that data used in scholarly articles be made publicly available. The extended value will be employed by DASH at SSO to authorize access to certain DASH features. This affects the approximately 750 Postdoctoral Scholars on campus.
